A friend lent me and in fact I never played it when I was at home for its noise. This morning was my first performance ever -- in a mini orchestra group. The only reason why it seems easy for me to learn this is because the tunning is the same with guitar, so I have no big problem on fingering. So, yes I hope I won't stop here and continue learning every possible thing [read: instrument. hehe].

nine years

Today I met my junior high friend after nine years. Well we once met at a music studio rental few years ago when I was in senior high -- my band played after hers - but we didn't talk.

It's been nine years, things are changing. We get older, we get wiser, but not at the wisest. We are confused, we continue living. We questioned. She might have found answers. I haven't. We continue question.

You know, I was imagining a cheerful, stupid reunion, the same things that happened back then: stupidities, laughs, laziness.. altough I personaly don't want to recall any memory from the era. Then at the same time I realized that it wouldn't happen in any way. Instead of talking funs, we discussed life; and it's including god and the depressions of our days. Now how would you ever imagined this nine years ago, or in any time when you're fourteen? Would you expect the change? Would you think, that your laughter and carelessness were only a piece of dust? Then my laughs today were in a bitter irony.

Nine years. Everything's changing, and continue changing.

stupid

The whole strawberry things were stupid. And also the imitation trees. And games. Well maybe it's just not my kind of place. And the foods, are highly not reccomended. Thanks.

the old style

Few weeks ago I went to a well-known shopping mall in Depok [haha] and found this old style cafe named Sagoo Kitchen [well I forget the real name hehe hope the one I mentioned was right] with the old style foods and beverages, details, space experience, decorations and other old styles. Last stunning week, I went to Plaza Semanggi [which is much more like ITC alias pasar nowadays] and found more than one cafes or restaurants selling their old styles.

Now this made me wonder, what happened with the old styles? Are we tired of modernity? Minimalis modern hahahaha makan tu..

Well some might just want to push themselves back to the previous era at least by imitating it, kinda simulating it-- oh here it comes the simulacrum! Yeahhh! The youth might not feel the old era since we weren't there, we're not born yet. So the old style is just for fun. Some like it and some others might not. It's like bringing back the joy of colonialism, they said. Then some will say, it depends. Not all the old styles refer to colonialism. How about the simulation of the old kampong life? And the debate will still continue, I believe. Whether you like it or not, the fact is: old style sells. Haha.

So last Monday, a clever-and-critical-but-confused-about-this-architectural-design-studio-project--well-there-are-a-lot-of-ideas-but-how-to-come-up-with-that?-student asked me this question:

"Kak, after all this time and after you finally graduated, what do you think of architecture?"

Then I felt a samurai stabbing my chest and slicing my heart and 'the architecture' was laughing out of me. Okay.. okay.. I hyperbolized it. But seriously I coudn't hide myself from the shock. I choked. Sigh. If only she knew that my actual answer would be: "Oh well I was [or I am?] thinking off architecture. How 'bout that?" and if only saying those words is that easy.

So this is it. The famous September 9th, 2009 a.k.a 090909. Well I don't know why some people are freaked out about numbers, that they [we?] speculate on the 'rare' conditions on numbers. I don't think I'm one of them but unconsciously I probably am. I don't know. The simplest is date. Remember June 6th, 2006? The date of evil. Haha. That made July 7th, 2007 the date of jackpot and August 8th, 2008 the date of luck. What's the agreement? Nothing. We only 'like' it, right? Weddings, launchings, births, parties.. See? We just like it.

There was a rumour that the end of the day would be September 9th, 1999. It came out of nowhere, I heard it from some friends; who might be ones of the freaked-outs. And it was ten damn years ago. Now I wonder, what rumour will be on 101010. Geeky, isn't it? Haha.

Well for me, 090909 is another dateline. Deadline. Dateline? Yeah, whatever. And instead of working, I blog. Hakhakhak.

So it happens again for the fourth time. Today is thursday. Today I planned to watch this:

As you can guess, it is now replaced with 'Pocong Jalan Blora' or 'Keramat' or stuff.. hmpfffffffff.

Update: I finally watched the movie at other cinema, still on thursday hehe.
